Louis “Coach Lou” Jones
Coach Lou Jones brings a championship background from the University of Washington, where he was part of a National Championship team and made three Rose Bowl appearances, before going on to play professionally in the CFL.
With 20+ years of experience, he specializes in speed, agility, strength and conditioning, exercise therapy and has trained some of Southern California’s top young athletes.
An ISSA-certified trainer with multiple advanced certifications, Coach Lou is known for pushing athletes to their highest level while keeping training engaging and fun. His approach develops not just stronger athletes, but more confident, disciplined competitors with a true championship mindset.
Player Development
Coach Mike Talley
Mike Talley brings over 10 years of experience training athletes from youth levels to NBA and WNBA players. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Wingate University (NCAA Division II) before expanding into elite player development.
He went on to work with renowned trainer Phil Handy’s 94 FT of Game as an Elite Player Development Coach, gaining experience at the highest levels of the game.
Coach Talley is known for building athlete confidence through tailored training, detailed feedback, and strong personal connection. His passion for development and commitment to each athlete make him a key part of the Westward Athletics team.
